The Buddhist Integration Model of Ethical Promotion for Chiangmai Provincial Police

Abstract

This research of objective were: 1) to study the concept and the ethical reinforcement of police officers; 2) to study the Buddhist principles in the ethical reinforcement of police officers; 3) to present the model of Buddhist integration to ethical reinforcement police officers. Use qualitative research regulations by studying and analyzing data from the Tripitaka, relevant rules and regulations and interviews with the police officers at the commanding level Buddhist luminaries and a committee of 7 police officers, each group, a total of 21 people, Bring the information to organize a small group meeting with a religious expert, and related Jointly consider and verify the accuracy of the certification Present research results.
The findings are that:
1. The ethics is the principle of living for people to stretch as a guideline in practice for the sake of their own happiness and for the public happiness.
2. The Buddhist Principles in the ethical reinforcement of police officers are manifests that are suitable for the particular levels such as the Threefold Trainings , 4 virtues for lay people , 4 virtues making for group integration and leadership , 4 Virtues of the Holy Abiding, 6 virtues for fraternal living , 7 virtues of a gentleman and 10 virtues of a ruler.
3. The Model of Buddhist integration to Ethical Reinforcement police officers has shown completely on the 3 systematic dimensions. Here they are; 1) On the Self - Control, Caused by inappropriate behavior Integrating Buddhist principles, Threefold Trainings and 4 virtues for lay people Makes the duty honest; 2) On the Staff - Control, Caused by the problem of not using the moral system in management within the organization Using the principles of Buddhism, 4 virtues making for group integration and leadership, 4 Virtues of the Holy Abiding and 6 virtues for fraternal living to be integrated. Resulting in fairness in the performance of duties; 3) On the Duties Control, Caused by the lack of responsibility in the operation Using the principles of Buddhist Dharma, 7 virtues of a gentleman and 10 virtues of a ruler. Causing awareness of responsibility in the performance of duties.
