Knowledge and Understanding of Secondary School Students in Social Media under Act 2017 of Computer Offenses; A Case Study Khon Kaen Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research aimed to 1) learn how students using social media against computer offenses act (No. 2), B.E. 2560 (2017), 2) study how understanding students’ social media in using against computer offenses act (No. 2), B.E. 2560 (2017) and 3) study students’ behaviors about perception of computer offenses act (No. 2), B.E. 2560 (2017).
The results: of this paper presented that:
1. secondary school students under office of the basic education commission in Khon Kaen province had knowledge and understanding about the act were at a middle level. The highest average score was not performing any violate rights to anyone without permission and the lowest average score was sending computer data or electronic mails to other persons in such ways that causes getting troubles to receivers’ computer data or electronic mail without providing the chances for the receivers to cancel or notify for denying the acceptance easily.
2. Secondary students were aware of the act but had never read it. They did not attended to the seminar or training about using computer system safely. Even though they realized that social media is one of necessary channels for education.
