Abstract

This research Objective: 1) to study basic math skills of early childhood That has been provided with culinary experience For kindergarten children, and 2) compare the basic math skills of preschool children. Before and after organizing the cooking experience The sample group used in this research is preschool children aged 5-6 years studying in Kindergarten Level 2, Semester 1, Academic Year 2017, Phu Han Suksa School, Phu Han Subdistrict, Khon Kaen Primary Educational Service Area Office. 5, 20 persons, who were selected by Purposive Sampling, the researcher conducted the experiment manually. The experiment took 8 weeks, 3 days, 50 minutes each, total 24 times. This research is a plan to organize a cooking experience and a practical test on the mathematical skills of early childhood. The IOC was between 0.71-1.00 and the confidence coefficient of 0.73 was used for this research using the One-Group Pretest- Posttest Design research plan. The statistics used to analyze the data were t-test for Dependent Sample.
The result of the research shows that: After organizing cooking experiences, the level of basic mathematical skills of preschool children in a good level was good (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 24.30) and when considered in each aspect found that Comparison observation (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 6.00), classification (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 5.95), sorting (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 6.20) and quantity literacy (gif.latex?\bar{x} = 6.15) were at a good level and when comparing the basic mathematical skills of preschool children In overall and in each aspect, it was higher than before the experience of cooking with statistically significance at .01 level.
