Teaching Social Studies Model in the New Normal Era

Abstract

The COVID-19 epidemic has severely affected education at all levels around the world. It causes almost all educational institutions around the world to close teaching and learning, resulted from the school closure and a change in educational management system. The most obvious is the teaching that needs to be continued because it will affect the quality of the students that is, the quality of the future population, therefore teaching and learning are adapted in many ways. The idea of innovation is a new way of teaching and learning.
Social studies teaching in the new normal era, in addition is to adjust the teaching model in everyday life. The school has to adjust the teaching style, concise the curriculum, adjust the content of study, increase the flexibility of study time and a variety of learning. The flexibility to spend time and choose a study style is very important and raise the level of assessment for development. Even if the child cannot come to study as normal, the evaluation for development must continue and may require collaboration between children, parents and teachers more to track learning of students by allowing parents to take part and in an age when most children have to study online.
