Promoting Skills of Information Technology for Sangha Government in Kalasin Province

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to: 1) study the level of promotion of skills in using information technology of the administrative monks for Sangha governance of Kalasin Province 2) study and compare the promotion of skills in using information technology of the administrative monks for Sangha governance of Kalasin Province 3) study the recommendations on the promotion of skills in using information technology of the administrative monks for Sangha governance of Kalasin Province. It is a quantitative research. The sample group was 257 monks in Kalasin province by method of calculating the sample size according to the Taro Yamane formula. The data collection tool was a questionnaire on a 5-level estimation scale of 30 items with a confidence level of 0.81. The statistics used in the data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, T-test and F-test. The statistical significance was set at the .05 level.
The results showed that:
1. The administrative Sangha has promoted the use of information technology was found that the overall level was at a high level. When considering each aspect was found that the ability to analyze information technology media with the highest average, followed by the application of information technology, the use of information technology and in terms of management of information technology was the least average.
2. Comparative results of promoting skills in using information technology of administrative sangha in Sangha governance of Kalasin Province Classified by Sangha affiliation, age of monks, level of moral education and Sangha position were not statistically significantly different at the .05 level excepting secular education levels was statistically different at the .05 level.
3. Recommendations for promoting skills in using information technology of the administrative monks in Sangha governance of Kalasin Province as follow: Information technology budget should be allocated, there should be a plan to organize training on the use of information technology, there should have morals and ethics in the use of information technology media and there should apply information technology for public relations.
