The Relationship between Transformational Leadership of School Administrators and Teamwork of Teachers under Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2

Abstract
The objectives of the present study were 1) to explore the transformational leadership of the administrators in schools under the supervision of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, 2) to investigate the teachers’ teamwork inschools under the supervision of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, 3) to study the relationship between transformational leadership of school administrators and teamwork of teachers under Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2, and 4) to examine the guidelines for teamwork promotion of teachers under the supervision of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The study was carried out in 2 phases. Phase 1 was the study of the current conditions of the relationship between transformational leadership of school administrators and teamwork of teachers under Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. There were 268 schools and the number of population was 2,446. The sample was 286 school administrators and teachers. Phase 2 was the study of the guidelines for teamwork promotion of teachers under the supervision of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2. The samples of the case study were Bannonkoon School, Bannongkhu School, and Phumwittaya School. The instruments used for data collection were a questionnaire and interview. The data was analyzed using the computer program for mean, standard deviation, and simple correlation.The results were as follows : 1) Overall, the transformational leadership of the school administrators in schools under the supervision of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was at high level. Each aspect was also found at high level. The aspect at the highest level was the vision development and the lowest one was the idealized influence. 2) Overall, the teachers’ teamwork in schools under the supervision of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was at high level. Each aspect was also found at high level. The aspect at the highest level was the interaction with each other and the second highest was the trustworthiness. The aspect at the lowest level was the adjustment toward people or situations. 3) The relationship between transformational leadership of schooladministrators and teamwork of teachers under Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 was between 0.072 and 0.929 with positive correlation and it wasstatistically significant at .01 level. 4) The guidelines for teamwork promotion of teachers under the supervision of Chaiyaphum Primary Educational Service Area Office 2 were encouraging the teachers to participate the activities regularly and promoting the teachers to work as teams in order to form good interactions, respectively.
