Abstract

The purpose of this study was to study the nursing modalities of palliative care in the community of primary and holistic service group at Kuchinarai Crown Prince Hospital according to the guidelines of the Bureau of Nursing (2016). The population in this study was 124 palliative care patients who receiving care in the community of primary and holistic service group at Kuchinarai Crown Prince Hospital in 2018. This research tool consists of 1) palliative performance scale assessment form (Nursing Council, 2016). 2) satisfaction assessment form for patients or relatives 3) nursing practice based on palliative care assessment form.

          The study found that nursing modalities of palliative care in the community of primary and holistic service group at Kuchinarai crown prince hospital consist of 3 components are 1) Appointing a palliative nursing service working group in the community 2) Establishing nursing guidelines 3) Evaluating the operational results. It was found that the percentage of the second visit was 92.83%, followed by the 3rd and 2nd visit, 85.94% and 83.06% respectively. Which followed the visiting process 55 patients ( 85.94 %), the satisfaction of patients and relatives found that the overall was very high with the average score of 4.90 and standard deviation was 0.36 and 81.82% of the results of the assessment of compliance with guidelines for palliative care in nursing had very high levels. Concluded that nursing modalities of palliative care in the community according to the guidelines of the bureau of nursing (2016) helps support the team to be more caring for patients, resulting in good results both service provider, patient and caregiver. Therefore, such format should be used in providing nursing services in the community.
