The purpose of this Semi-experimental research (quasi-experimental research) to study the effect of a Happy Reminiscence Therapy on reducing depression in the elderly, Nongchik District Pattani Province, 30 people, measured before and after the experiment (one-group, pretest-posttest design) with the Depression Assessment Form 9 Question, Data analysis with Paired t-test. The result showed that 1. 83.33 percent of the sample group is female, 53.33 percent, age is 60-70 years, 63.33 percent have no underlying disease, 73.34 percent of junior high school education, 33.33 percent of agriculture, 46.67 percent of incomes 1,001 - 3,000 baht per month, 93.33 percent received community welfare assistance, 73.34 percent Family financial status is sufficient, 50.00 percent would communicate with others by phone and followed by 46.67 percent meeting. 2. The average depression score of the sample group. In the early stages of joining the group therapy program and immediately after joining the group therapy program and the 1 month follow-up period is 8.88 (SD = 1.96), 5.48 (SD = 1.87), 4.04 (SD=1.21) respectively. The result of this study show that Happy Reminiscence Therapy has reduced depression of the sample. Can use the program to apply to reduce depression in other patients
