The developed model contained 9 steps of caring processes: 1) patients’ self-responsibility and self-esteemdevelopment, 2) life caring process, 3) human development process, 4) stress management, 5) risk assessments of the patients’ lifestyle, 6) communications between the patients and the nurses, 7) problem-solving process, 8) teaching and learning process of the patients and their family, and 9) leadership and life-changing encouragement.Further research investigating the practicality or the effectiveness of the nursing model in practice is recommended. Moreover, future work may adopt a comparative research design to gain insights into the effectiveness of the nursing model.
