Larvae index and Dengue Fever in Nongbua Health Promoting Hospital, Udonthani Municipality, 2019-2022

Abstract
Dengue is an Aedes borne disease that has highly transmitted in urban areas. Prevention and controlmeasures mostly focus on vector control and source reduction.Since 2019, Nongbua Health Promoting Hospital, Udonthani Municipality use to assess risk of dengue transmission after conducting larva survey in the responsibility area. This study compiled the Aedes larvae index data and analyzed to study aims to determine the relationship between larvae index and dengue fever in the year, 2019-2022.Except year 2021,which has no dengue fever. The results of the survey of Aedes Aegypti larvae breeding sites percentage of houses surveyed found the highest Aedes aegypti larvae (HI) accounted for 17.54% in 2022. The percentage of the container with the highest larvae (CI) was found as 5.73% in 2022. The number of containers found by larvae per 100 houses (BI), the highest 22.00% in 2020. The container survey showed that the most risk container were found in larvae in the whole year. 2019-2022 in the area of Nongbua Health Promoting Hospital including containers that are not
used accounted for 22 percent, followed by containers that are used accounted for 16 percent and refrigerator/water cooler and used water containers accounted for 14 and 14 percent respectively. The results of the study on the relationship between the relationship between larvae index and dengue fever showed that the incidence of dengue fever and Aedes aegypti larvae index (HI, CI and BI) were in the overall Nongbua Health Promoting Hospital,Udonthani Municipality was not statistically significant at a confidence level of 0.05 (p-value> 0.05).
