Depression among late adolescent in Sakaeo Province

Abstract

     A Cross-sectional analytical research aimed to investigate factor influencing depression among late
adolescent in Sakaeo Province. The 370 samples were collected by using a questionnaire between January,
2023 and February, 2023. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, means, standard deviation,
median, percentile 25 and 75 for descriptive statistics and factors predicting were analyzed with multiple
regression analysis by Stepwise method. The study showed, factor influencing depression among late
adolescent in Sakaeo Province were stressful life events in the past 1 year, family with psychiatric patients,
age, social support, health behaviors and female gender and 6 predictors can explain the variance of factor influencing depression among late adolescent in Sakaeo Province at 75.80 percent (R2=0.758) statistically
significant at 0.05 level. Therefore, prevention of depression among late adolescent should pay attention
to these factors.
