Motivational Interviewing to behavior change of Diabetes Mellitus , Hypertension patients in Ban Thakham Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital

This study on Motivational Interviewing to behavior change of Diabetic patients and Hypertensive patients was conducted with main objective to compare the results of Health education to the group and the single of Diabetic patients and Hypertensive patients by using the Motivational Interviewing technique and Routine management. The experimental research (Quasi-Experimental Research) by routine research (R2R) method was applied to 182 diabetic and/or hypertensive patients who were admitted to Ban Thakham Subdistrict Health Promotion Hospital in the fiscal year 2019 and 2020. The Non-randomized group method was used to divided 42 patients in the research groups and 140 patients in the control groups and by monitoring physical examination and room examination for 3, 6 months and 1 fiscal year.
The results of the study revealed that behavioral modification using the Motivational interviewing process had a statistically significant reduction in systolic blood pressure at 3 and 6 months compared to the incremental trend in the control group. There were no statistically significant changes in BMI for both the study group and the control group at 3 and 6 months. a
statistically significant increase. And statistically significant decrease in renal function at the same level in both the research group and the control group uric acid levels saturated fat level and bad cholesterol levels in the blood change but not statistically significant by the research group tends to decrease and the control group tended to increase levels of HDL in the blood increased but not statistically significant in both the research group and the control group Risk of cardiovascular disease total cholesterol level and the accumulation of sugar in the blood increase in both groups with a significant increase in the control group but not significant in the research group.
