Caring for schizophrenic patients at risk of violence through the use of participatory case management in the community Muang District, Sakon Nakhon Province : A case study of Khamin Subdistrict, Mueang District, Sakon Nakhon Province.

This research is a participatory action research. The purpose of this study was to study the care and outcomes of caring for schizophrenic patients at risk of violence. Between January 2021 and June 2021, divided
into 3 phases: 1) Analyze, assess, prepare the situation of schizophrenic patients in the community. 2) case
management by nursing process Encourage the community to participate according to their roles and responsibilities. 3) Evaluate results, share knowledge, and summarize results. Target groups were 3 4 schizophrenic patients at risk of violence, 34 relatives or caregivers, health volunteers. Public health officers at
sub-district hospitals, community leaders, 20 people. Data collection tools include: a follow-up form for patients at risk of violence in the community in 1 0 aspects; a short mental symptom assessment form; Overall competency assessment form Satisfaction Questionnaire for Relatives/Carers and an assessment form for opinions of public health volunteers, community leaders, public health officials. Data were analyzed by content analysis, frequency, percentage, mean, and t-test, and improvement by focus group discussion.
Results of a study of the situation of schizophrenic patients in the community It was found that there was
a lack of ongoing management in the community. Relatives or caregivers lack knowledge, care skills, and need help from the community. The health team therefore handles cases with community participation. by home visit Adjust the care plan accordingly. Community Participatory Case Management Outcomes resulting in schizophrenic patients There was a psychiatric symptom score after receiving participatory case management in the community. Less than before receiving case management with community participation. statistically significant (t = -12, p–value ‹ 0.05) and overall ability after receiving community-based case management. Higher than before f f community participatory case management. with an average score Overall ability (mean = 45.91, SD = 3.35) was statistically significant (t = 21, p–value ‹ 0.05). Schizophrenic patients do not commit violence. throughout the duration of the project relatives or carers Public health volunteers, community leaders, health workers were satisfied.
