The development of a model for enhancing understanding of village health volunteers to practice following on safety organization standards endemic approach to COVID-19 in Ban Wan Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital, Bukraeng Subdistrict, Chom Phra Dist

This research was action research aimed to develop a model to enhance the understanding of implementing safety organization measures to control the spread of COVID-19 and make it an endemic disease among village health volunteers in Ban Wan Subdistrict, Chom Phra District, Surin Province. The study involved a sample of 67 village health volunteers and 6 personnel from Ban Wan Sub-district Health Promoting Hospital, Chom Phra District, Surin Province. The data were collected using questionnaires and interview forms. Content analysis, frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation were used to analyze the data. A dependent t-test statistic was used to determine the significance level, which was set at 0.5.
The results of the research revealed that 1) A model for enhancing the understanding of safe organization measures to control the spread of COVID-19 and make it an endemic disease was developed for village health volunteers in Ban Wan Sub-district, Chom Phra District, Surin Province. This model included training and education on managing COVID-19 in the community, promoting and preventing COVID-19 in the community, and necessary skills for promoting and preventing COVID-19. 2 ) The knowledge and understanding of COVID-19 disease prevention and control practices of village health volunteers were assessed, and the results indicated that the sample group had a high level of knowledge and understanding of the prevention and control of COVID-19 disease after the implementation of the model. The average score was 4.23 with a standard deviation of 0.64. When considering each aspect, the management of COVID-19 in the community had an average score of 4.05 with a standard deviation of 0.63, and the promotion and prevention of COVID-19 in the community had the highest average score of 4.23 with a standard deviation of 0.64. Social distancing practices were at the highest average level with an average score of 4.50 and a standard deviation of 0.58. The study also found a statistically significant difference between the knowledge and understanding of COVID-19 disease prevention and control practices of village health volunteers before and after the operation. Overall, and in each aspect, there was a significant difference at the .05 level with a p-value of equal to .000 for all values.
