Factors related to people's participation in the prevention and control of dengue hemorrhagic fever in the area of Non Thong In Sub-district, Kook Kaew District, Udon Thani Province.

Abstract

     The purpose of this research was to study Level of public participation in dengue prevention and control Nonthongin Subdistrict, Kukaeo District, Udon Thani Province and factors related to public participation, including problems, obstacles, and suggestions of the public in participation in the prevention and control of dengue fever. To know the guidelines for dengue control plans in the area By systematic random sampling and collecting data by interview form from a sample of housewives, butlers. or other family members living in Nonthongin Subdistrict, KuKaeo District, Udon Thani Province, totaling 129 people. Data were analyzed using mean statistics. standard deviation, number, percentage, Pearson Chi – Square and Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient statistics, interpreted according to content and classification.

     The results showed that the level of knowledge on the prevention and control of dengue fever. It was found that people had a high level of overall knowledge with an average score of 13.11 (S.D. = 1.97). It was found that the people's overall behavior was high with an average score of 3.69 (S.D. = 0.44) and the level of people's participation in the prevention and control of dengue fever. Nonthongin Subdistrict, KuKaeo District, Udon Thani Province The overall level is moderate. with an average of 3.62 (S.D. = 0.53). When considering the process of participation, it was found that people participated in planning decisions. Operation Assessment and receiving benefits at a moderate level with mean values of 3.14 (S.D. = 0.75), 3.61 (S.D. = 0.50), 3.16 (S.D. = 0.83) and 3.58 (S.D. = 0.56), respectively. people in the prevention and control of dengue fever The level of knowledge was associated with participation in the prevention and control of dengue fever at the moderate level (r=0.534) and the level of knowledge was associated with participation in the prevention and control of dengue fever at the low level (r=0.147).
