Nursing care of hip replacement surgery patients: two case studies.

Abstract

     This study was a case study. The purpose of this study was to compare the nursing care of two hip fracture patients who underwent total hip replacement surgery by using the nursing diagnoses according to Gordon's Rating Scale 11. qualitative data analysis by content analysis

     The study found that

              Case study 1: Thai female patient, 62 years old, marital status, Buddhist. Domicile of Khon Kaen Province Patients use medical welfare under the Universal Health Insurance Program. The doctor diagnosed a broken left hip joint. therefore admitted to the hospital on March 18, 2022, during which he was taken into care and solving nursing problems at the female surgical and orthopedic ward with a nursing plan Nursing activities and nursing assessments The period of hospital stay from March 18, 2022 to March 29, 2022, totaling 12 days.

           Case study 2: Thai female patient, 79 years old, marital status, Buddhist. Domicile of Khon Kaen Province Patients use medical welfare reimbursement from the Comptroller General's Department Received a referral from Non Sila Hospital 5 hours ago. Dizziness, falling, left hip pain, inability to walk from physical examination and X-ray results. The doctor diagnosed a broken left hip joint. therefore admitted to the hospital on March 18, 2023, during which he was taken into care and solving nursing problems at the female surgical and orthopedic ward with a nursing plan Nursing activities and nursing assessments The period of hospital stay from March 18, 2023 to March 31, 2023, totaling 13 days.
