The Effect of Motivational Interviewing Program to controlled blood sugar level in Diabetes Patients NongHan Hospital Udonthani

Abstract

     This quasi-experimental research aimed to study the effects of a motivational counseling program for glucose control in diabetic patients at Nong Han Hospital. Udon Thani Province The sample consisted of 30 diabetic patients who received services at the diabetes clinic between April 2022-June 2022. Data were collected by using an interview form. Data were analyzed by using percentage statistics, mean findings. and standard deviation and paired t-test.

     The results showed that 1) the mean scores of health behaviors before and after joining the program were significantly different at the 0.05 level. ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=6.43 SD=2.10) increased ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=14.0 SD=1.21) drug use behavior before joining the project. ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=5.23SD=1.40) increased ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=6.40SD=0.52) exercise behavior before participating in the program. ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=2.56 SD=2.89) increased ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=5.30 SD=1.50). ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=8.93SD=2.56) increased ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=14.88SD=2.08) 2) Mean blood glucose (FPG) before joining the program ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=221.5 SD=39.99) decreased ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=160.6 SD=53.90) significantly different from before joining the program P < .05 and Mean cumulative glucose (HbA1C) before joining the program ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=8.43 SD=0.56) decreased ((gif.latex?\bar{x}=6.96 SD=0.47) significantly different from before joining the program P < .05
