Abstract

     The development of a specialized care model for pregnant women with positive amphetamine urine tests at Pha Khao Hospital, Loei Provincial Public Health Office, is an action research aimed at developing a specialized care model for pregnant women with positive amphetamine urine tests at Pha Khao Hospital. The research was guided by Kemmis & McTaggart's (1990) ideas, employing a focused sample group of 6 individuals and a health personnel and network group of 32 individuals. Data was collected using questionnaires, interviews, group discussions, content validity was confirmed by 3 experts with an IOC (Index of Content Validity) value between 0.6-0.8, and the tested questionnaire had a reliability value of 0.88. Data was gathered, and the analysis was conducted using standardized software. Descriptive statistics, means, standard deviations, and Paired Sample t-test and Repeated Measure ANOVA were utilized for quantitative data, while content analysis was employed for qualitative data.

     The results found that: Experience in using alcoholic beverages Tobacco products and other types of drugs: 50.0% used to smoke, used amphetamine stimulants (amphetamine) in the past 3 months, 100.0%, and wanted to use amphetamine stimulants. Severe pain almost every day. 16.7% had concerns or warnings about using amphetamine stimulants (amphetamine). 33.3% had tried to stop using amphetamine stimulants. (Amphetamine) but was unsuccessful, 50.0%. Risk level of having ever used amphetamine stimulants (Amphetamine), average score 15 points (S.D.= 11.83), interpreting the overall risk level as moderate. The level of individualized care in pregnant women with urinary amphetamine results was higher after the development than before the development of the care model at a statistical significance level of 0.001 (p-value < 0.001).
