This study was case study aimed to studied nursing care for cataract surgery patients with high-risk conditions. By comparing 2 case studies, selected specifically. Two patients were diagnosed by a doctor as having cataracts and were admitted to the ward of the Ear, Eye, Nose and Throat Building at Kalasin Hospital.
The results of the study found that the first case study was a Thai male patient aged 68 years. The main symptoms were blurred right eye. He had it 9 months before coming to the hospital. Diagnosis of cataract right eye disease, history of co-morbidities, diabetes, high blood pressure, gout, chronic kidney failure. Received treatment with ECCE with IOL LE (Extra capsular cataract extraction with Intraocular lens right Eye) surgery while receiving treatment after surgery. The patient has a condition Hyperglycemia and also had post-operative pain and high blood pressure. After receiving treatment for complications, the patient gradually improved. Can be sold home by referral to a community hospital.
Case study number 2, female patient, age 78 years, main symptom: blurry left eye. Can't see the picture clearly Had it 2 years before coming to the hospital. Diagnosis: Combile cataract left eye. History of co-morbidities. high blood pressure Received treatment with ECCE with IOL LE (Extra capsular cataract extraction with Intraocular lens left Eye) surgery. While undergoing treatment, the patient had anxiety. High blood pressure before surgery After receiving treatment, symptoms gradually improved. Can be sold back home
