Study Results : A comparative study of nursing care for patients with aggressive behavior due to substance use disorder : A case study of two individuals who received treatment at the Psychiatric Ward of Kalasin Hospital from March 1, 2566, to September 7, 2566. Case Study 1: A 41-year-old Thai female who used drugs, methamphetamine and marijuana, exhibited aggressive behavior and a moderate risk of violence. She was treated with psychiatric medications, mood stabilizers, and psychosocial therapy. Her emotions and behaviors were adequately controlled, and she was able to return to her family. Case Study 2: A 49-year-old Thai male who used drugs, methamphetamine, marijuana, and inhalants, developed psychiatric and neurological symptoms, leading to paranoid behavior and a high risk of violence. After receiving treatment with long-acting antipsychotic medication, mood stabilizers, and psychosocial therapy, his emotional control improved, though not as effectively as in Case Study 1. He still had residual delusional thoughts related to the duration of substance use and family rejection. Due to the high risk of violence associated with his psychiatric condition and substance abuse, both case study patients were referred to a comprehensive network for continued care to ensure their safety.
