Factors correlated with low back pain preventive behaviors among rubber planters

This cross-sectional survey research aimed to determine low back pain preventive behaviors and the factors correlated with low back pain preventive behaviors among rubber planters. A simple random sampling was conducted to obtain 237 rubber planters and living in Ummao sub district, Thatphanom district, Nakornphanom province. Data was collected by the questionnaire. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics, Chi-square test, and Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient.
The result found that 86.92% of participants were male and 57.80% had over the age of 60. 80.59% of participants had received primary school education, 48.10% had an average monthly income between 5,001-10,000 bath, 77.22% of participants were married. 49.79% of participants had work duration of rubber planting per year was 6-10 years. 53.16% of participants worked per week were 3-4 days, and 75.11% worked per day was 5-6 hours. 75.11% of participants had a middle level of low back pain preventive behaviors. The education level and knowledge of low back pain prevention related to low back pain preventive behaviors with statistical significance at p-value <0.05.
