Case Study : Nursing and care and anesthetic management for total abdominal hysterectomy procedure in septic shock patient

This case study aims to provide guidance on nursing care and emotional support for a patient with septic shock due to septic abortion. Select patients with septic shock. Came in for treatment in the surgical intensive care unit. Pak Chong Nana Hospital Between 6 April 2023 - 14 April 2023, 1 case.
Result : Patient Profile: A 42-year-old female of Cambodian descent presented with symptoms of vaginal bleeding, weakness, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting for the past 10 hours. The diagnosis was septic shock due to septic abortion. The patient received immediate medical attention, including antibiotics, fluid replacement, vasopressors, blood transfusion, and surgical intervention, which involved a total abdominal hysterectomy with left salpingo-oophorectomy. She was placed under general anesthesia and received intensive nursing care for 8 days. The patient's condition improved significantly through a well-planned nursing care and anesthesia. This care plan encompassed the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases, along with continuous interdisciplinary communication and coordination. As a result, the patient showed significant improvement and did not experience severe complications related to septic shock. She was able to return to her daily life.
