Food Consumption Knowledge of the Elderly at Health Promoting Hospital of Health Promotion Center 2 Phitsanulok

This research was survey research by cross-sectional study was to 1) study the food consumption knowledge of the elderly at Health Promoting Hospital of Health Promotion Center 2 Phitsanulok and 2) study the factors affecting the food consumption knowledge of the elderly at Health Promoting Hospital of Health Promotion Center 2 Phitsanulok. The samples were 283 elderlys who were treated at the hospital and health check up at Health Promoting Hospital of Health Promotion Center 2 Phitsanulok. Data were collected by questionnaire. The data were statistically analyzed by percentage, mean, standard deviation, and Chi-Square test.
The results of the study revealed that: 1) the overall food consumption knowledge of the elderly was at a moderate level and 2) the factors of age, educational level, monthly income, source of income, underlying disease were affected the food consumption knowledge of the elderly at Health Promoting Hospital of Health Promotion Center 2 Phitsanulok with statistically significant at a level of 0.05.
