Nursing care of hypertensive patient with a stroke: a case study

This study was case study aimed to study nursing care for hypertensive patient with a stroke. A 52-year-old Thai female patient came to Social Security Network Clinic, Phra Narai Maharat Hospital on 11 August 2023 with significant symptoms, severe headache before coming to the hospital for 1 day.
Results: Before health checking, the patient was not well and had a headache, high blood pressure level and a risk of bleeding in the brain. During checking, acute intraparenchymal hematoma was found by computerized tomography. The patient admitted for treatment at the female surgery ward. After health checking, the patient had a risk of insufficient blood flowing to the brain. The nurse investigated the changes in consciousness level of patient, provided information to patients and relatives to reduce anxiety and delivered patient to the ward. The patient received continuous care at the ward for 3 days and was discharged on August 14, 2023.
