Nursing care of women with ectopic pregnancy who have ruptured fallopian tubes and are in shock and acute respiratory failure: a case study

Abstract

     This study was case study aimed to study the nursing care of women with ectopic pregnancy who have ruptured fallopian tubes and are in shock and acute respiratory failure. Case study of a Thai female patient, 25 years old, admitted to Banmi Hospital on 6, March, 2023, with pain in the right lower abdomen and having vaginal bleeding before coming to the hospital for 1 day
     Results: From pregnancy test. This result shown positive, Ultrasound test results found free fluid in caldesac. Doctor diagnosed that the patient had an ectopic pregnancy. The patient was shocked and had blood concentration level of 23% and then received Explored laparotomy with Right Sulpingectomy.Postoperatively, the patient was intubated. The patient had a risk of shock again and anemic. Then patient was received fluids and blood according to the treatment plan. The nurse administers medication to correct
the shock until the patient is safe. The patient had wound pain and risk of wound infection. The patient had no infection and the patient's symptoms gradually improved. The patient's breathing tube was removed after surgery for 1 day. The patient had no complications from shock. The patient was discharged on 11 March 2023, Total of hospital treatment of 5 days. No complications of patient were found after discharge.
