This research is action research to develop and study the results of a continuous support program for nurses during labor where the cervix opens slowly. Using the action research steps of Kemmis and McTaggart (Kemmis and McTaggart, 1988) consisting of 1) planning (Plan), 2) taking action and observing (Act & Observe), and 3) Reflect (Reflect) li4) Improving the work plan (Revised plan) The sample group includes birth attendants who come to give birth in the delivery room at Kut Chap Hospital. Udon Thani Province Between October 2023 - December 2023, a total of 30 people. Research tools include Nurse Continuing Support Program Personal information questionnaire Pain level assessment form and observation of pain coping behavior during childbirth Analyze data with frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and square value test statistics. and t-test
The results of the research found that the continuous support program for nurses consisted of activities to support mental and emotional aspects. Information support Comfort support and rights protection support. It was found that birth workers who received a continuous support program from nurses had a statistically significant reduction in pain levels (p < 0.001) and a high average pain coping behavior score in All stages of birth were statistically significant (p < .01) and were satisfied with birth. Overall, it is at the highest level ( = 5.00, S.D. = 4.03).
