Effects of the development of new cataract surgery equipment preparation on the time required to prepare surgical equipment in the operating room, Nong Bua Lamphu Hospital.

Abstract

     This study was quasi-experimental research. The objectives were 1) to study the effectiveness of nurses' guidelines for preparing cataract surgery instruments. 2) to compare the time required for surgery between the control group and the group using the new pre-prepared instruments. 3) to compare the number. The number of tools picked up increased between the control group and the new pre-packaged tool group. Surgery using 2 types of surgical tools: a group using new pre-prepared tools. and groups using traditional tools In surgery, there were 20 patients per group. Data were collected by professional nurses working in the operating room. Nong Bua Lamphu Hospital November 2023 to March 2024. The experience of working in the operating room of the nurses in both groups was not significantly different.
