Nursing care of Pneumonia patient with Respiratory failure: A Case study

Abstract

     This study was a case study. The objective was to study nursing care for Pneumonia patients with Acute respiratory failure. This is a case is an 87-year-old man with a chief complaint of fever, chill, and chest discomfort four hours pre-hospital.
     The results of the study found that the first diagnosis was a bacterial infection. Post-diagnosed was Pneumonia with Respiratory failure The patient also had pulmonary edema. The treatment was antibiotic and diuretic intravenous injection, mucolytic drug, bronchodilator drug, oxygen therapy, and intubation. The results of the study found that nursing care includes adequate oxygen supply at the tissue level, reducing or eliminating infectious organisms, reducing fluid volume at Pulmonary alveoli, Prevention of septic shock. Evaluation of nursing care no success was reducing or eliminating infectious organisms causing the patient bad diseases need to be intubated, helping efficiently support breathing, and referral to a hospital network in the province.
