The Development of Road Safety Management Model by Operation Center Committee Road safety Kumphawapi District, Udon Thani

Abstract

     The objective of this participatory action research to study the situation of road accidents in Kumphawapi District and develop and evaluate road safety models using the mechanism of the Kumphawapi District Road Safety Operations Center Committee. Udon Thani Province, conducted from September 2566 to January 2567. The 50 people sample group was selected those who are involved in the operation of the district leadership team. Data collection is divided into 3 phases: Phase 1: analysis of accident situations in Kumphawapi District; Phase 2: development of road safety models. Through the quality management process (PAOR) and phase 3, evaluate model development and results. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, inferential statistics to compare means using Paired sample t-test statistics, and qualitative data were content analyzed.
     The results of the model development revealed that Road safety model using the mechanism of the Kumphawapi District Road Safety Operations Center Committee. Udon Thani Province consists of 1) driving the creation of a mechanism Effective District Provincial Education Office 2) Accident situation analysis with result-based management tools (5 tools) 3) Management of road accident risk points by the government sector. Local and community 4) District District Education Center meeting to continuously follow up 5) Implementation of Kumphawapi Model guidelines. A sample group of 50 people participated in the activity. It was found that after implementing the average participation in driving the management mechanism road safety Overall, it is at a high level. More than before the operation was statistically significant (p-value < 0.001) and the results of road accidents in the area found that the number of injured persons decreased by 34.07 percent and the number of deaths decreased by 25.80 percent.
