Nursing care of a patient receiving general anesthesia for thoracic spine surgery. from cancer spreading to the spine.

Abstract

     This report was case study aimed to comparative study for nursing care of two patients in Thoracic spine surgery undergoing General anesthesia. Case study report from October 1, 2022 to Mach 30, 2023 The finding was found that there were different of primary cancer.
     The results of the study revealed that both patients received palliative treatment with metal bonding surgery to reduced spinal cancer Pain. Both patients received the same general anesthesia. There are also 5 levels of thoracic spine surgery. The duration of surgery is not the same. Uneven blood loss after surgery. Patients have different needs for care. The second patient needs more. The post operative pain is managed the same way. that both patients were safe, without serious complications from surgery. Nursing care that has been taken care of daily activities before and after surgery, pain management. Nursing for post-operative rehabilitation with cooperation of a multidisciplinary team and with a pre discharge planning together.Patients has recovered in well condition and daily activities. They have a joint discharge planning as well as received closely home visited by community nurse until the patient can done normally activities daily life.
