Nursing care of patient rheumatic heart disease with complications in Saraburi Hospital: Case study

Abstract

     This study was case study. The objective of this study was to study nursing care of patients with rheumatic heart disease complications caused by rheumatic fever infection. This causes severe disease progression with a high mortality rate. Selected sample two case studies admitted at Saraburi Hospital's pediatric ward 1 based on patient medical records. History from patients and relatives observation It is analyzed by comparing health patterns, pathologies. Symptoms and signs, nursing treatment and diagnosis Nursing planning from reception to discharge
     The results of the study showed that Case Study 1, a14-year-old Thai boy patient, had significant symptoms. Acute rheumatic fever found carditis, severe mitral valve regurgitation, Aotic valve regurgitation and heart failure. Case Study 2: a14-year-old Thai girl with major symptoms and a rash. Abnormal movement. For 3 days, the doctor diagnosed acute rheumatic fever, found a malfunctioning mitral valve, and electrolyte deficit. Both cases were treated until the crisis was over, and complications were monitored using nursing process and the 7 Aspects of Care were followed until the patient could be discharged home
