Effects of a seamless nursing program for home palliative care for end-of-life patients.

Abstract

     This research is quasi-experimental research. (Quasi-Experimental Research: One group pretest-posttest design to study the effect of a seamless nursing program for home palliative care of end-of-life patients.  Khao Wong District area Khao Wong Hospital The study sample was divided into terminally ill patients at home for palliative care who were referred to receive palliative care services in the health service network of Khao Wong Hospital. and the main caregivers of palliative care patients, both female and male, aged 20 years and over. The research period is between February 2024 and May 2024, a period of 12 weeks. Data was collected using questionnaires. Seamless data recording and nursing programs for end-of-life care at home for palliative care. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including mean, standard deviation, number, percentage, and paired t-test.
     The results of the study found that before and after participating in the seamless nursing program for palliative care for terminally ill patients at home. Terminally ill patients had an average overall symptom distress score. and have an average score for overall care outcomes They were significantly different (p<0.001) and caregivers had average stress scores before and after participating in the home palliative care program. Statistically significantly different (p<0.001)
