This study was case study aimed to study the nursing process for a patient with molar pregnancy complicated by bladder injury. A 31-year-old female patient was admitted to the hospital on March 15, 2024, with the main symptoms of lower abdominal pain and heavy vaginal bleeding for 3 hours before arriving at the hospital. A CT scan diagnosed molar pregnancy. She underwent a hysterectomy with bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. Preoperatively, she was at risk for shock due to blood loss and experienced discomfort from lower abdominal pain. Postoperatively, she experienced discomfort from bloating, nausea, vomiting, and constipation. A cystoscopy revealed bladder injury, and she underwent bladder repair surgery.
Results: After surgery, she was intubated and placed on a ventilator for 2 days before being extubated and switched to high-flow oxygen therapy. Nursing care included infection prevention for the lungs, pain management, and wound infection prevention. The patient gradually improved, was able to sip water and eat food without abdominal bloating. A Foley catheter was left in place, with urine being clear yellow. She was discharged on March 26, 2024, having stayed in the hospital for a total of 11 days.
