Development of a GREEN & CLEAN Hospital Challenge, An Operation Model of Yangsisurat Hospital, Mahasarakham Province.

Abstract

     This study was action research. The purpose of this research was to study the development of the GREEN & CLEAN Hospital Challenge model at Yangsisurat Hospital, evaluating the results of the development of the model by applying the concept of Kemmis & Mc Taggart (1988), consisting of 4 main steps : 1) Planning, 2) Action, 3) Observation, and 4) Reflection. Staff in the hospital and visitors and the concept of implementing the key strategies of the Ministry of Public Health (PIRAB). A total of 92 people were selected for a specific sample. Data were collected by questionnaire and group discussion, quantitative data analysis by frequency, percentage, mean, and statistics, paired t-test analyzed qualitative data by content analysis, and verified the reliability of data triangulation .
     The results of the study showed that the GREEN & CLEAN Hospital Challenge operating model The Y-A-N-G-H-O-S Model consists of 1) Yardstick & Yield: Adhere to standards, 2) Accountability: Responsible for duties, 3) Network: Coordinate and work as a team, 4) Good Governance: Adhere to good governance principles, 5) Holistic Health: Holistic health care, 6) Objective: Have clear goals, and 7) Successive: There is continuous development to drive the work. The results of the evaluation of the model created showed that the sample had a knowledge score. Perceptions of roles, participation, and satisfaction with operations increased statistically significantly. (p<0.05) The factors for the success of developing the GREEN & CLEAN Hospital Challenge operating model at Yangsisurat Hospital consist of the following 4 P's: 1) Policy with a clear operational policy, 2) Participation of all sectors, 3) Patients Focus, with service recipients as the center of development goals, and 4) Personal Safety.
