Case study: Nursing care for patients with chronic angle-closure glaucoma, nursing care for patients with acute angle-closure glaucoma due to cataracts and lens edema.

Abstract

     This study was case study aimed to study the nursing of chronic angle-closure glaucoma patients and the nursing of acute angle-closure glaucoma patients with cataracts with oedema of the lens. The study was conducted in two comparative cases. Nursing of chronic angle-closure glaucoma patients
     The results of the study found that from the initial eye examination, the eye pressure was high, between 15-59 mmHg. The vision assessment and eye measurement were between PJ and 5/60 m. After receiving treatment according to the doctor's treatment plan and nursing care that was consistent with the patient's problem, using the nursing process, Roy's theory of adaptation, and Orem's self-care concept as guidelines for nursing practice, both patients had normal eye pressure between 13-44 mmHg. Their vision improved. The eye measurement was between PJ and 6/60 m. There were no complications from the treatment.
