This research aimed to develop and evaluate a health promotion program for occupational safety among rubber farmers in Kuankalong District, Satun Province. The study was research and development (R&D). The sample consisted of 60 rubber farmers aged 20–65 years with at least one year of work experience. Data were collected through interviews, focus group discussions. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and content analysis.
The findings indicated that farmers faced occupational health risks such as chemical exposure, ergonomic factors, and hazards from venomous animals. The program, developed with input from the researchers and participants, focused on raising awareness about chemical hazard prevention, muscle stretching, proper posture during work, and measures to avoid dangers from venomous animals. After the program trial, participants experienced a 34.78% reduction in work-related injuries or illnesses, a 31.81% reduction in work-related musculoskeletal disorders, and improved protective behaviors, such as wearing gloves and boots while working in the rubber plantation and using chemical protective masks during chemical application.
