Development of a model for monitoring and promoting child development in communities where the age is not yet eligible to enter the Child Development Center, Yang Yai Subdistrict, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province.

Abstract

     This study was action research. The objective is to develop a model for monitoring and promoting the development of early childhood children in the community who are not yet old enough to enter the Child Development Center, Yang Yai Subdistrict, Nam Yuen District, Ubon Ratchathani Province. The target group was selected specifically, 45 people, and quantitative and qualitative data were collected. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency distribution, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. Qualitative data were analyzed using content analysis.

     The results of the study found that early childhood children in the community received more screening and development promotion. Before the development, 75.41 percent of early childhood children in the community were screened for development, 69.56 percent had age-appropriate development, and 30.44 percent had suspected delayed development. After the development, 100.0 percent of early childhood children in the community were screened for development, 78.69 percent had age-appropriate development, and 21.31 percent had suspected delayed development. Development was stimulated and monitored in every case with suspected delayed development. After the development stimulation, the children had age-appropriate development. It was found that those involved had changed in terms of knowledge, attitude, behavior, perception, and increased participation, and 100.0 percent of early childhood children in the community had increased age-appropriate development.
