Abstract

This experimental research, using a pretest-posttest control group design, aimed to examine the effects of the SIMILAR labor mechanism model on knowledge, understanding, return demonstration skills, and satisfaction among third-year nursing students at Roi-Et Rajabhat University. The sample consisted of 50 third-year nursing students divided equally into experimental and control groups. Data were collected using knowledge tests, a return demonstration evaluation form, and a satisfaction questionnaire.

The findings revealed that after the experiment, the experimental group had significantly higher mean scores for knowledge and understanding of labor mechanisms than the control group (8.48 vs. 6.20, p < 0.001), as well as significantly higher return demonstration skills (7.32 vs. 5.66, p < 0.001). The majority of students in the experimental group (76.0%) demonstrated good skill levels, while most students in the control group (64.0%) showed only moderate skill levels. Furthermore, the experimental group reported the highest level of satisfaction with the SIMILAR model innovation (Mean = 4.60, S.D. = 0.51).
