The Model for Developing the Quality of Spa Business, According to the Enforcement of Health Establishment Act. B.E. 2559, in Pang-nga Province.

Abstract

     This research was action research. The objective is to study and create a model for developing the quality of health establishments in the spa category in Phang Nga Province. The study steps are divided into 4 steps: 1) Studying the problems and shortcomings, 2) Designing and developing quality, 3) Implementing the development model for actual use, and 4) Evaluating the results of using the development model. Data were collected using the Department of Health Service Support's standard assessment form and in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, frequency, percentage, mean (¯X), and standard deviation (SD), content analysis, and paired t-test.

     The results of the study found that the evaluation results were at a better level. The model could be implemented at an excellent level of 100 percent. The results of the comparison of the average percentage before and after the trial of the service development model using the paired t-test were statistically significantly different (t = 4.84, p-value < .001). Health establishments of the spa type were able to raise their standards to an excellent level. Thai traditional medicine service recipients were very satisfied with the service in all aspects. The effectiveness of the model used for development was at a level appropriate for use in development. The results of this study should determine that health establishments of the spa type should use the development model in health establishments in Phang Nga Province as a guideline for continuous service quality development.
