The Development the quality of operational model to prevent and reduce road accidents in Nong Han District, Udon Thani Province.

This research was action research and development. The objectives are to analyze the process of road accident prevention and reduction for develop the quality of the process of road accident prevention and reduction and for compare result of develop the quality of the process of road accident prevention and reduction operations before and after the development in Nong Han District, Udon Thani Province. The sample group were divided into 3 groups, 20 people responsible for road accidents, 245 population, the group of 18 people who provided information by interview, collected in December 2024 – April 2025. The tool used as a questionnaire and interview form created by researchers. Through the quality inspection by 3 experts, check the quality of the content. Content validity was checked and the IOC value was 0.67 - 1. Analyze the quality of the tool using the Kreuter– Richardson to calculate the reliability value of traffic knowledge equal to 0.83. Test of Cronbach’s Alpha Coefficient about quality of operations, accident data and satisfaction is 0.94, 0.96 and 0.84. Data were analyzed using frequency distribution, percentage, average, standard deviation and paired-test.
Research results: 1. The process of preventing and reducing road accidents consists of 5 measures:1) management 2) reducing of risk behavior factor affective road accident, environment and vehicles 3) safe road user 4) post accident care 5) creat a participation of network partner 2. The results of process quality development and operations are at high level (= 4.70, S.D. = 0.46) Population have an average score of traffic knowledge at a high level (
= 15.68,S.D. = 3.18) Behavior to prevent and reduce road accidents at a high level (
= 4.55, S.D. = 0.56) 3. Results of operation to prevent and reduce road accidents according to the criteria of passing indicators. The sample group is satisfied with the quality of road accident prevention and reduction at a high level (
= 4.23, S.D. = 0.53)
