Factors Influencing Community Participation in Community Base Treatment and Rehabilitation (CBTx) in Tambon Nong Waeng Tai, Wanon Niwat District, Sakon Nakhon Province.

Abstract

     This study aimed to identify factors influencing community participation in the treatment and rehabilitation of drug addicts through the Community-Based Treatment model (CBTx) in Nong Waeng Tai Subdistrict, Wanon Niwat District, Sakon Nakhon Province. This survey research by cross-sectional design was used, with data collected from 25 community operational committee members using a structured questionnaire, validated for content (IOC = 0.95) and reliability (Cronbach’s alpha = 0.95). Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, including frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation.

     Findings indicated that most respondents were male (68%), with an average age of 52.4 years, primarily engaged in agriculture (56%), and having monthly incomes below 10,000 baht. The community demonstrated high awareness and understanding of CBTx, with 96% actively participating, notably in planning and providing support to recovering addicts. Most respondents strongly agreed on integrating local wisdom with modern medical practices (60%) and emphasized shared responsibility between government agencies and the community (64%).
