Development of Promoting Health Literacy for Management of Among Overweight School children Model in Mueang Nakhon Si Thammarat District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province.

This action research aimed to study the situation and factors influencing health behavior for obesity prevention for among overweight school children and Development of Model. Including investigate the effects of Promoting Health Literacy for Management of Among Overweight Schoolchildren Model. The study was divided into three phases. Phases 1: study the situation and factors influencing health behavior for obesity prevention for among overweight school children (n=379). Phases 2: development of Promoting Health Literacy for Management of Among Overweight Schoolchildren Model by focus group discussion (n=25). Phases 3 assessment of Health Literacy and health behavior (n=30). The results of the study were as follows: Health Literacy and health behavior was at moderate level and the model developed from this research was “HL4Fun model”. It was found that Health Literacy and health behavior for obesity prevention for among overweight school children in the posttest was higher than in the pretest and weight in the posttest was less than pretest.
