Abstract

      This study aimed to compare two groups between postpartum mothers who receive knowledge according to routine nursing care and mothers who received knowledge according to the health education program. This research is a quasi -experimental research. Compare two groups between postpartum mothers who receive knowledge according to routine nursing care and mothers who received knowledge according to the health education program. During December 2023 - March 2024). Use a conceptual framework Orem Self-care Theory. The tools used in research are a health education program on postpartum practices created by the researcher based on Orem's nursing framework and was reviewed by 3 experts for content validity, CVI = .80. and the tools for data collection include Knowledge assessment form about postpartum practices created by the researcher and the Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was .70 And the stress assessment form (Suanprung Stress Test 20) of Suanprung Hospital. For data analysis, using descriptive statistics. For comparison the differences in the mean knowledge and stress scores between groups with the Mann-Whitney U statistic because the data were not normally distributed.

      RESULTS : The results showed the mean score of knowledge after the experiment between the control group and the experimental group were significantly different (p-value <0.001), with the experimental group was significantly higher mean knowledge score than control group. And the mean score of knowledge after the experiment between the control group and the experimental group were significantly different (p-value <0.001), with the experimental group was significantly higher mean stress score than control group.
