Developing a performance model for employees of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the healthcare sector in Thailand.

This research aimed to examine the level of employee performance in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the healthcare service sector in Thailand, to investigate the influences on employee performance, and to develop a model of employee performance in SMEs in the healthcare service sector in Thailand. The sample group consisted of 380 entrepreneurs or supervisors aged 20 years and above. Data were analyzed using statistical software with a significance level set at 0.05. The statistical methods employed included frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, confirmatory factor analysis (CFA), and model fit analysis to examine the consistency between the research model and empirical data.
The results revealed that the level of employee performance in SMEs in the healthcare service sector in Thailand was at a high level. Employee performance was most strongly influenced by digital technology, which had both direct and indirect effects. This was followed by managerial leadership, which had a direct effect. Furthermore, managerial leadership was directly influenced by digital technology, business transformation, and work systems, respectively. All influences were statistically significant at the 0.05 levelAdditionally, the developed model demonstrated a good fit with the empirical data.
