VALIDATION OF A THAI-TRANSLATED VITAMIN D DEFICIENCY QUESTIONNAIRE IN COMPARISON WITH SERUM 25-HYDROXYVITAMIN D LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH CHRONIC DISEASES

Abstract

     This study was survey research aimed to conducted to develop a Thai version of a vitamin D deficiency questionnaire using a forward–backward translation process, and content validity was assessed by experts. Test was performed in a pilot group before applying the questionnaire to the study population, where 30 participants were enrolled, and performing test-retest reliability analysis. The study was conducted among patients with chronic diseases at the outpatient department of Phramongkutklao Hospital.

     The results demonstrated excellent content validity (S-CVI/Ave = 0.918) and reliability of the questionnaire (ICC = 0.983, Cronbach’s alpha = 0.991), while the standard error of measurement was very low relative to the questionnaire’s total score range (SEM = 0.55).
