This research aimed to study the effectiveness of a nurse education and follow-up program on vascular entrance care for patients with end-stage renal disease at the Vascular Surgery Clinic, Sukhothai Hospital. This was a quasi-experimental research using a two-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using content analysis, descriptive statistics, and inferential statistics.
The results showed that after the nurse education and follow-up program on vascular entrance care for patients with end-stage renal disease at the Vascular Surgery Clinic, Sukhothai Hospital, the knowledge scores and vascular entrance care behaviors of the experimental group, as well as the rate of vascular entrance stenosis complications, were better than the control group and before the program.
