This research article entitled “Innovative Knowledge Transfer to Communities and Local Areas for Career Development among the Elderly in Pathum Thani Province” aimed to transfer knowledge and develop the skills of local labor, particularly elderly women in the community, in creating various products within communities in Pathum Thani Province. The study also aimed to utilize local wisdom and cultural capital in Pathum Thani Province to create new knowledge for the conservation, development, and extension of community products. In addition, the research sought to enhance innovation in local products within communities and strengthen the potential for community economic development through a participatory process involving community members. The sample group consisted of 37 elderly members of the “We Love Culture Club” at Wat Bot in Pathum Thani Province. The research instruments used for data collection were questionnaires and interview forms.
The research findings revealed that elderly people in the community still have opportunities to create occupations and generate income to a certain extent if they receive appropriate knowledge support and training suited to their age. Suitable knowledge transfer methods should emphasize practical training, simplicity, and applicability in daily life. The integration of innovative knowledge with the local wisdom of the elderly can help increase the value of community products and create greater career opportunities. However, some limitations were identified, including health conditions, access to technology, and limited financial support.
