The objectives of this study were 1) to study the effectiveness of an empowerment program on self-care of diabetic patients, 2) to compare the effects of empowerment activities on self-care of diabetic patients, and 3) to compare knowledge of diabetes self-care behavior and blood sugar levels after the experiment of control and experimental groups of diabetic patients using a quasi-experimental research model The sample consisted of 60 diabetic patients obtained by simple random sampling, divided into 2 groups: the experimental group and the control group. Data were collected between May - September 2022. The tools used in the study were the tools used in the experiment. and tools used for data collection, including questionnaires and tests. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and t-test (Independent samples t-test).

The results of the study found that 1) Diabetes knowledge of diabetics between the experimental group and the control group before the experiment was not statistically significant difference. which means diabetic patients who were an experimental and a control group. knowledge is not different diabetes knowledge of diabetics Between the experimental group and the control group after the experiment was significantly different at the .05 level. Diabetes patients in the experimental group had more knowledge than the control group. 2) The self-care behaviors of diabetic patients between the experimental group and the control group before the experiment were not statistically significant different. This means that the diabetic patients in the experimental group and the control group had no difference in self-care behavior. The self-care behaviors of diabetic patients between the experimental group and the control group before the experiment were significantly different at the .05 level. The diabetic patients in the experimental group had better self-care behavior than the control group.
