Nursing care of patient with Coronavirus 2019-infected pneumonia: a case study

Objective: To study the nursing care of patients with Coronavirus 2019-infected pneumonia.
Results: An 84 year old female Thai patient with bedridden was admitted to hospital on 9-14 December 2022 with symptoms of fever, headache, shortness of breath before coming to the hospital for 1 day. Form RT-PCR results, patient was diagnosed as Coronavirus 2019-infected pneumonia. First hospital admission, the patient has shortness of breath. During admission, it was found that the patient was hypoxia due to the decreasing efficiency of gas exchange and ventilation in the lungs. The patient was treated with high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), unwell due to fever, cough, and headache. Possibly dangerous due to low blood potassium levels. Oxygen therapy with high airflow ventilation (HFNC) Discomfort due to fever, cough, headache. Possible danger of low blood potassium levels. The patient felt unwell due to fever, cough, and headache. It is possible for danger of low blood potassium levels. From providing nursing care, all problems have been taken care. The patient's symptoms improved accordingly. Patient was discharged, total of hospital admission for 5 days. After discharge and follow-up, the patient had coughing in sometimes, able to act properly and no complication.
