The Strategic Leadership Affecting The Internal Quality Assurance Implementation Of Schools Under Prachinburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1

Abstract

The objectives of this research were to study 1) levels of strategic leadership; 2) levels of implementation of internal quality assurance in schools; 3) relationship between strategic leadership and implementation of internal quality assurance in schools; and 4) factors affecting implementation of internal quality assurance in schools. The sample consisted of 291 school administrators and teachers under Prachinburi Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. The research instrument was a questionnaire. The statistics used for data analysis were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, Pearson’s product moment correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analysis.The research findings were found that: 1) The level of strategic leadership overall and each aspect was high, with mean scores ranking from high to low in the aspects: teamwork cultural formation, performance with morality, strategic thinking, and direction determination respectively. 2) The level internal quality assurance implementation of schools overall and each aspect was high, with mean scores ranking from high to low in the aspects: preparation of self-assessment reports, implementation of the educational management development plan, preparation of educational management development plan, setting educational standards, evaluation and examination of educational quality, and monitoring performance respectively. 3) The relationship between strategic leadership and implementation of internal quality assurance in schools had the highest positive correlation with a statistical significance of .01 4) The strategic leadership in terms of performance with morality, teamwork cultural formation, affected implementation of internal quality assurance in schools, with a statistical significance of .01. It could be used to predict implementation of internal quality assurance schools at 84.00%. The predictive equation could be written in form of standard scores as Z'Y = .550Z₃ + .387Z_4.
